Analog Photography Digitalization File Dilemma

Increasing popularity of digital photography, analog photography while living among hobbyist only. Indeed, until now Maih analog film material produced in limited numbers because even though this can not be replaced. However, printed materials can be replaced digital print. Company of Kodak's only since June 2005 has stopped production of paper for printing photographs in black and white. Another smaller company would have to follow.
As a large format analog photography fanatics, namely the use sheet film, Arno Suherry very restless. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, negatinya now difficult to make prints because it gives the material more and more scarce and rare printer.
To be made digital so of course it is not easy because - average scanner on the market can not accommodate the size - size large.  25 cm.
´ 20 cm ´For instance, some negative Suherry 10 cm and 12.5 cm
Using a drum scanner? maybe that's one solution. However, objections to the drum scanner is in addition to the fare is very expensive (because the price of drum scanners are also hundreds of millions of dollars sebuahnya), also in the process of drum scanner that requires a negative or slide smeared with a kind of oil to be stuck tight in the field of pindainya, oil is a little more speed damage a negative.
The same anxiety experienced by another devotee, Johannes Januar. Januar Suherry and finally found a way of digitizing the negative - they are negative in a proper way as well. They photographed their negatives in order to become a digital file!
Is this way can be justified in terms of technical and practical?

Indeed it is done both residents of Bogor is justified if we use standard time in 2011.
Quality digital sensors get better and better with high speed since 2000. Note that a top quality camera made in 2003 so it looks bad when compared to lower-class quality camera made in 2008 right? it's because the quality of the sensors and the quality of the camera firmware made in 2008 has been highly developed.
Similarly, if we compare the quality of the drum Scanner sensors are generally made in the 1990s compared to the quality of a digital camera sensor made in 2011.  10 cm.
´Note the two photos on this page is generated from a negative 12.5 cm  Results from the drum scanner quality of the results seen under the photography with new camera.

Currently drum scanner was no longer made because of the demands of the world has changed. In fact, the drum scanner has left Scholastic printing property damaged without repair.
"The cost of the repairs is much higher than buying a scanner the size of A3. Also there is no need for the use of a drum scanner, "said Hendra Lizandi, head of the imaging section Gramedia.
At present, such as the Scholastic printing only to use A3 size scanner, plus the Nikon scanner to handle slides up to medium format size.
As for the scan file - graphic file used scanner copy dot with Eskofot brand.
Photography world had been shifted to the digital world. Even if there are sticking with analog photography, it is a matter of choice. This is equivalent to cook noodles Java. There are still using charcoal and there yamg wear regular gas. Nice Where? I do not know ... ...
